Customers Want to Speak with Real People

Consumer Reports posted an survey on our biggest gripes , not surprisingly several of the the top complaints are customer service related. Not reaching a live person scored 8.6 out of 10, this was second only to hidden fees.  Why businesses continue to us automated systems and not a use live answering service or receptionist continues to surprise me.  It is an easy way to distinguish your businesses from the competition.  In addition, to happier customers, it adds value you your service.  Of course we know all this because we have been providing call center services to small business for over 30 years now.
